Classes include techniques in wedging, centering, pulling, shaping, attaching handles, trimming, and glazing. Emphasis will be placed on centering and pulling correct cylinders and basic bowl shapes.
Classes include instruction, use of tools, 50 lbs. of clay, bisque and glaze firings for 8 complete pieces. Glaze not included. Also, each piece over 8 will be charged according to size.
- Week 1 – wedging techniques and centering
- Week 2 – Week 4 – centering and pulling of cylinders
- Week 5 – pulling and trimming of thrown pieces
- Week 6 – attaching handles and refining throwing and shaping techniques
- Week 7 – demonstration of intermediate techniques and throwing
- Week 8 – glazing
Cost for 8 week session $150.00.
Each nights class will be limited to three students.
